This Makes Me SICK!!
My son attends the same township, but a different school, and his teachers are AWESOME. In fact, this district is actually one of the best in the state for special needs programs. However, the district has some schools that are better than others.
As a parent of two special needs children, I cannot imagine what this little girl had to have gone through yesterday. I am outraged. The parents say that the child does have an issue with keeping her shoes on. I can only assume that someone got tired of the behavior and did this. But, when the bus driver picked her up, she was wheeled out in some sort of restraint chair. Apparently this wasn't the only restraining they did to her that day.
This is a five year old special needs child. I just can't understand the mentality that thinks it's appropriate to do this.
I hate to admit this, but if this was MY son, CPS would be the least of their worries.
